Our values are based on these beliefs:

• It is important to have the opportunity to explore difficult feelings;
• Human contact, undivided attention and empathy meets a fundamental emotional need and reduces distress and despair.
• Being listened to in confidentiality and accepted without prejudice, can alleviate despair and suicidal feelings;
• Everyone has the right to make fundamental decisions about his/her own life, including the decision to finish it by committing a suicide.
